Verbena LMS does not hold passwords. Alliance staff sign in through your identity provider with the account they already have. Coaches and candidates are not employees and will not be in your directory, so they get their own lane.

Employees, so SAML or OIDC against your identity provider. Roles come from directory groups, which means granting someone program staff access is a group membership change and offboarding happens where it already does. MFA and session length stay your policy.
Coaches and candidates
Neither is on your payroll. Coaches are sponsors and supervisors at the employing sites; candidates are the cohort. Both authenticate against an external identity tenant: sign in with Google, Apple or a Microsoft account, or a one-time code sent to whatever address they already use. A personal Gmail works. No password is set, and none is stored here. They carry a coach or candidate role, which is why a coach sees a caseload and never the payment ledger.
